Custom-designed transducers.

One-inch exit diameter compression driver is incredibly efficient (110dBA with just 2 watts of input power!). It uses a phase plug that focuses energy along the radii of the horn for wide dispersion (instead of in a thin beam straight out).

Six-inch direct-coupled midrange driver is designed as part of the horn assembly. Its curved shape (Drawing G) lets it operate as an integral part of the midrange horn compression chamber for better coupling with the room air mass. And, since it operates between 700 Hz and 3,000 Hz, its very presence eliminates placing the system crossover point in the middle of critical voice frequencies.

15-inch LF driver with Inside/Outside Voice Coil is capable of tight control and awesome output without overheating. Conventional voice coils are wound with multiple layers on just one side of the voice coil former (Drawing H1 above right). Heat builds up between the layers and can only disperse from one side (Drawing H2). This can cause overheating and eventual voice coil failure.

The SR1530's low frequency transducer voice coil is wound with one single layer of wire on each side of the voice coil former (Drawing I1). Heat build-up is minimized and can disperse into twice as much air volume (Drawing I2. The result is a woofer that can crank at maximum output for extended periods of time.
