| Dear MDR24/96 user,
We would like to inform you about a service update diskette
that makes a slight modification to the MDR24/96's BIOS and,
in doing so, will provide increased stability for the
system's overall performance and operation. This is not
targeted towards any specific feature or function, but
rather to the system in general.
What you need to do:
Check your serial number of your MDR24/96:
For Serial numbers EV10001 thru EV10100
Check your SYSTEM _ ABOUT menu to make sure you're using
the
current V1.2 software build and, if not, go to the MDR24/96
Downloads Page to get the latest build.
For Serial numbers EV10001 - EV10227
Perform the above check and upgrade the software as needed.
In addition, we recommend that your MDR24/96 Recorder be
upgraded with the aforementioned BIOS service update. We
have provided a tech note that describes the BIOS Utility
disk creation procedure as well as the actual upgrade
procedure on our web site. It does not mention the serial
numbers involved because it was written as a general
procedure.

You are encouraged to back up all Project files before
performing this update, even though those files should not
be affected by this upgrade.
