All Hail the King! DJ Direct recently found residency in Las Vegas, but not before he captured the first King of the d.2 crown in Atlantic City. He takes home the grand prize of a complete Mackie DJ Sound System worth more than $5,000 including a d.2 DJ Mixer complete with FireWire Card, a pair of SA1521z Active Loudspeakers and an SWA1801 Active Subwoofer. Mackie Looking for West Coast King of the d.2

Mackie is taking round two of the “King of the d.2” competition to Remix Hotel LA to crown a West Coast King. Attendees of Remix Hotel LA will have the same chance DJ Direct and DJ Flip got at the DJ Expo – a chance to win a complete Mackie DJ Sound System worth more than $5,000: a Mackie d.2 DJ Mixer with FireWire Card, a pair of SA1521z Active Loudspeakers and an SWA1801 Active Subwoofer. First Runner-Up will win a new d.2 DJ Mixer.

To enter, you’ll need to attend Remix Hotel LA and stop by the Mackie booth located in the Passage Room at Musician’s Institute. You’ll then lay down a short DJ set in one of two performance time slots: Friday, November 4 at 9 p.m. or Saturday, November 5 at 5 p.m. You’ll use the d.2 while we record your sets to computer via the d.2’s FireWire Card. Mackie’s resident DJs Tone and Ronnal will select the top 10 overall performances, which we’ll post right here for final voting after the show.

And as a special added bonus, we’re offering the first 15 “King of the d.2” contestants from each day two exclusive passes to the official Remix/Mackie d.2 VIP Party. This “invitation only” event will take place in the Spider Club at Avalon LA on Saturday, November 5, from 7-11 p.m.
