The Rear Panel

1. Power cord input. Naturally HUI has a built-in power supply instead of a silly wall wart.

2. Digital Comm Ports.
MIDI IN and OUT ports provide bidirectional communication with the DAW.
The ADB mouse port and the keyboard port each have parallel THRUs.
RS422/RS232 port provides alternate connectivity to the MIDI protocol. An additional EXPANSION serial port is available for future add-ons.

3. Internal/External Trigger ports.Two pairs of general purpose input and output jacks for triggering Stop/Play/Punch, On-Air, external console solo, etc.

4. Control Room Audio I/O.These analog input and output jacks are configured as three balanced stereo audio pairs, which can be switched to being six discrete signal paths for surround sound. These line level connectors can be balanced or unbalanced.
The Headphone jack shares the output 3 signal.

Talkback and Mic 1 & 2 5. Talkback mic preamp, select & remote trigger.The talkback mic preamp is switchable with the in-panel mic
A remote talkback trigger is for those itchy-fingered producer types.
INTERNAL/EXTERNAL switch toggles between the panel TB Mic or the external TB mic of your choice.

6. Mic Preamps. For direct patching into your DAW audio interface or sound cards: two balanced high grade Mackie mic preamp inputs with plenty of gain and switchable phantom power.
Inserts put your favorite processor (EQ, compressors) in-line.
The line level outputs can be balanced or unbalanced.
