Welcome to an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at real live Mackoids getting ready for Mackie's biggest trade show
in history. Consummate professionals? Maybe not. But we can sure put together a darn good show!
How many Mackoids does it take to put up a beam? Behold
the first skeletal pieces of the Mackie booth.
Wait... did anybody remember to bring the signs? What about
the gear? Anyone?! It's Monday (the same day we flew in from
Woodinville). The truss is going up. Time to bug out for the
day and tackle it again Tuesday.
Welcome to Tuesday. Mackoids at the booth take their turn
in high-octane production - a time better suited for back support
than tech support. Meanwhile, Mackoids at home crank out the
last-minute stuff that always seems to slip through the proverbial
cracks.
Two and a half days of back-breaking, sweat-drenching, callous-causing
work. As the last-minute touches get applied to the booth, the
excitement for Thursday, the first day of NAMM, is building.
And now for some props to the team back home. Martin loves
an impossible deadline. Here he demonstrates the proper ergonomic
posture for 18-hour stretches of video editing.
Throw in reams of product info sheets and hours of post-processing,
you have James' typical day in the pre-NAMM life.
Ken's sleeping on the job! You would too after 12 straight
days at work and a strange habit of avoiding coffee... which
is practically a crime in Washington state.
