Mackie Products@NAMM

Once a year in Anaheim, the music products industry gathers to show off their latest and greatest at the NAMM trade show. This year is an extra-special NAMM show for Mackie, in that it's our 15 Year Anniversary (1989 - 2004, for those keeping track) and our biggest product roll-out in history.

For starters, we're unveiling our flagship Onyx mixer lineup: 3 new small-format mixers featuring all-new premium analog circuitry, Onyx mic preamps, Perkins EQ, and FireWire connectivity options for recording to your Mac or PC. There's also a 8-channel rackmount version of the Onyx mic preamp, the Onyx 800R, with Variable Mic Impedence for precisely "tuning" preamps to each mic.

Not to be outdone, Mackie's digital team is introducing both the TT24 Digital Live Console and the DXB.200 and DXB.400 Digital Production Consoles. The TT24 brings the benefits of digital live mixing to the masses, with a truly intuitive "Turbo-Touch" interface, analog I/O galore and massive flexibility.

The DXB.200 and DXB.400, on the other hand, are the real-world fruition of the concept console introduced several months ago at the AES Show, the DXB. Both the DXB.200 and DXB.400 consoles put digital mixing and production in a whole new light with 192k operation, dual touch-screens, FireWire streaming, a fully configurable card cage and so much more.

On the desktop front, we're showing both the Spike Powered Recording System and Tracktion, which is already being hailed as the easiest digital recording and production software in the world.

And we've also got a handy little guy called Big Knob, a high-quality desktop monitor switching and level control box with a big, convenient volume knob--just the thing for computer musicians.

Finally, Mackie has put our hallmark active speaker design into a brand new speaker: the SRM350, a more compact and affordable version of our best-selling SRM450. In fine Mackie fashion, it smokes anything in its class.
