CR1604
My duo partner and I were playing a small room, and while setting up, he noticed a drip coming from the ceiling, dangerously close to his rack. Myself, being a refigeration technician, knew that it was condensate from the ac in the ceiling. I went to the mechanical closet, found the condensate line going into the sink, and put it to my mouth and blew it out. My partner screamed from the other room!! He came running in to where I was, and was drenched in water. I had blown so hard that the 3/4" line that was plugged, dumped about 3 gallons of water on him AND HIS MACKIE CR1604!!! We told the owner we would be starting late if at all, set up a fan, turned the board upside down, and let it dry for 45 minutes and finished the night out without a problem. He was so convinced that the board was eventually going to give it up, that he talked me into buying him a "new used" 1604VLZ pro, which I agreed to as long as he gave me the one I had "damaged". Well...that was 4 years ago and I still use it one weekend a month when I play, and if it ever does "give it up" I will send it in for repair, rather than get rid of it.
