I've been using a VLV1402 mixer and C300 speakers and the fact they've both lasted 8 years is the story. Mixer I bought used and speakers new. They've paid for my house, my son's birth (had no medical coverage) and almost everything I own, not to mention paid for themselves over and over again. They've flawless lasted through in Florida's humidity at pool side, beach side, smoke filled, wedding, private party, drunken stooper pub and outside top deck cruise ship gigs. Countless times I've been rained out and C300's speakers are usually the last thing I run for. Every time they dry out or not, they work. Unlike other speakers I've owned and own my C300's have never blown which baffles me with my level of abuse and volume at times. Worst spill was blown by the wind onto my VLZ1402, a bottle of lemonade. I shut it down straight away, took it apart and cleaned. All channels came back up. I play a lot of gigs and speak badly about manufactures I do not like; Mackie will never get a bad word from me. Everything Mackie I’ve worked with in my 20 year career as a “Blue Collar Entertainer” has provided me with no trouble so I can concentrate on entertaining.
