I'm new to the world of controllers and outboard mixing. In fact I am still waiting for my mixer to arrive through the mail. My birthday is in July and I found a place that could get me one of your futuristic mixers by July. My story is simple. I have a friend who is also my worst enemy. It's like I'm the Jedi and he's the dark side. He just purchased a new Allen & Heath Zed-14. The next thing I did was found a mixer to match him in his pursuit of excellence. He doesn't know it but I will be right there with him rocking to the sound of Mackie. Mackie is at the forefront of technology. We, my friend and I, have been working on music as a dualing twosome for sometime. He makes one kind of mix then I mix his mix into another mix and throw it back at him. He knows its all fun and games and theres no real hard feelings between us but it's a nice game that is now turning into something a little more expensive. I will be proud to own a ProFx series mixer. That video of the guy burning the mixer and playing basketball is a really great video. I couldn't give you one like that but i do own a Tapco 220fx.
