SRM
I was contracted to mix a live show with POCO at a fancy resort lodge. I'd brought a large mixing console, (4) SRM450's for monitors, and a pair of SR-1530's for Mains. When I saw the input list and the venue, I decided to scale back the system to better accommodate the
requirements. As I was reloading a couple of the 450's into the van, one of them toppled over and began rolling down the hill! It was moving at a pretty good clip, bouncing down the hill and was headed right for the lake, when somehow it came to rest on a small pier!!!
Well. I hauled the thing back up the hill, took it inside to where I had some signal, plugged it in, and it worked! How awesome is that?? I had spares, but to watch this thing tumble, bounce, and roll down a 100 foot slope and suffer no external or internal damage is a testament to Mackie R+D and their manufacturing process.
Thanks MACKIE!!!!!
