VLZ
I installed a Mackie 1402 VLZ in a gazebo on a courthouse lawn in 1997. The audio cabinet was not built according to my specs and the mixer had to be placed in a concrete and steel box in the foundation of the gazebo. It wasn't weatherproof and the mixer was thus subjected to 12 years of dirt and moisture. It was a mess when I pulled it out last month, but I plugged it in and tested every knob, fader, and switch. Everything worked perfectly. It needed a good cleaning so I decided to run it through the dishwasher! I figured if it still worked after being exposed to the elements for over a decade, running it through the “Pots and Pans” cycle one time couldn’t hurt. Well, it came out sparkling clean, and everything still works! Please check out the video on www.youtube.com/moodyformackie I think you will be amazed!
