I’m not just a Mackoid. I’m a Mackie-a-holic! I previously owned a (808s, (2) C300’s and (2) SRM450’s). I loaned the 808s to a friend who felt obligated to buy it from me after he backed over it with his van one night after a gig. He continues to use it daily, 5 years later. The c300’s and srm450’s were sold to other friends as I moved toward my current systems. Two each of: 1402 VLZ-PROs, S500’s, SRM 450’s, SR1521z and (1) DFX-12. I recently spilled a jagerbomb in one of the 1402vlz boards. The crackling static cleared up and we played on. The SRM450s have been dropped more than I’d like to count when an eager, sodden fan tries to “help” me load out for the night. However, the rugged reliability of Mackie equipment is not why I use it. I buy and use Mackie because of the qualitative difference in the sound it gives me and my audience above all the equipment I have compared it with period. My fellow musicians have “affectionately” awarded me the title of “Stage Bitch Extraordinaire” for my relentless demand for clear and accurate sound reproduction. You own the Running Man logo, But I am a Running “8-up-with-Mackie” Man. When I make enough money to buy your company I’ll define it as: L.O.U.D. (Loyal-Obligated-Uncompromising-Dulcet.) Technologies Inc. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MACKIE and thanks for the Clear and Accurate Tone-ology you provide. Add those words to the Mackie manual glossary. I’m on a 250-word budget here!
