I don't have any terribly interesting story about a speaker falling out of my truck or being drenched by a keg---but I can tell you that I have Mackie speakers and absolutely love them! Several years ago I bought a pair of SRM 1500s and a pair of SRM 450s and was able to ROCK!!! No more packing amps, phenomenal sound, and amazingly durable speakers. I supplemented them with a pair of 1532s last year and have done huge outdoor events with them.
I strongly recommend Mackie to every single DJ I network with---Mackie speakers are the only way to go!!
