5years ago, I was working a festival I always volunteer at in my home town, the Abbotsford Berry fest July 2-3 2004. Unlike the previous year, the weather wasn't cooperating at all. My partner had gone on holidays and It was left to me to run sound, stage manage and make sure all went well... If ever I needed the gear to be solid, it was that weekend. This was first time I used a all active system for a festival. It rained consistantly on both days, the stage was covered in water and despite the fact that everything was soaked, the whole Mackie rig never failed or stopped working, knock on wood. Both pairs of SA1232's w SWA1501's FOH and the 4 X SRM450's monitors I had just worked. Water was hitting the horns and cone directly at times just buckets full, something they're not designed for, but the equipment and myself refused to quit. When it was over, at least a gallon of water was poured from the SA's, and they still worked the whole event. Don't trust anything else,in my humble opinion, it's the best . I even figured out how the make them fly( see jpeg ). Can't wait to see what you come out with next. You rock Mackie...
