I have had my Onyx 1620 with firewire for 3 years now and it really is a great mixer. Coupled with Sonar, I have relied on it for 3 albums recorded in the project studio and it has launched 1 full time music ministry career with Rebekah Faith. The onyx preamps and eqs are super and haven't failed yet. I get 16 streaming inputs to Cakewalk at once with no latency problems and great recordings.

Oh btw...I also have an VLZ SR24-4 for more inputs through my m audio delta 66 sound cards....2 of them which add another 8 inputs for a total of 23 inputs through the mackies.
Ahhh yes....the 24-4 is still going strong after 10 years in the studio. Only one fader needed replacing after I spilled some coffee on the borard. The rest cleaned up nicely.
